What is a biokineticist?
A biokineticist is a specialised exercise therapist who is recognised by and registered
with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa. The benefits of biokinetics
include an improvement of physical status and quality of life through individualized
assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation
Restoration of an injured or stiffened musculoskeletal system to a maximal functional
capacity decreasing pain and increasing Range of Motion, strength and flexibility
through various therapeutic modalities.
Pilates/Spinal Rehabilitation
Specific pre and post operative back rehabilitation with a view to restore and maintain
functional strength through specific core strengthening.
Sport Specific Conditioning
A biomechanical approach to the analysis and training of specific movement chains
required to perform efficiently, economically and/or powerfully to achieve the desired
goal.
Lifestyle and Wellness Management
Full risk assessment with a scientific base program focusing on health, wellness
and happiness through activity, nutrition and psychology base on a multi-disciplinary
approach and support group.
Pre & Post Natal Care
Supervised prescribed exercise and activity for the mother focusing on core strengthening,
upper body conditioning and increased energy levels to meet the needs and new daily
physical challenges of becoming a mum.
Kinesis
Functional training with new gravitational
magnetically controlled cable pulley system designed to simulate specific movements
through a uniformed resistance. Kinesis allows for 3 dimensional movement in a private
and tranquil environment that results in improved posture, circulation, stability
and flexibility. Kinesis boasts golf, power and core specific programs.
